Error 0x80070bc2 during installation KB4074588

Hallo

i have problem during installation KB4074588. After restart pc is error 0x80070bc2. Win 10 ver 1709.

Windows for home | Windows 10 | Windows update

(Update - 2/17 Editing for clarity based on feedback)

If you are currently experiencing the 0x80070bc2 error while attempting to install KB4074588, please try this:

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, type cmd.
  2. Right-click Command Prompt in the search results and select Run as administrator.  (Select Yes, when prompted by the User Account Control.)
  3. In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type the following command and press Enter:

SC config trustedinstaller start=auto 4. Restart the PC.

In some cases, a second restart may be required. If you look under Settings > Update & security and you see the message Status: Awaiting restart, restart the PC a second time to complete the installation.

    Correction. Now the settings update page shows that system is up to date. No statement about pending restart. It does not happen all at once after issuing the SC command, however. I will go look at control panel programs to see what it says about the update.

    That was interesting. The command did execute successfully from the admin command prompt. I did a restart after it completed.

    System came back up. I went to settings update to see if anything changed, It did not. I took a screen shot of update page.

    Then system displayed pink "just a minute .... " screen for a long time, rebooted, took a while to come back up.

    I checked settings update again. Still showing the Feb 2018 update is waiting for restart. 

    (I will look up difference between admin cmd prompt and admin powershell to understand the differences. I did not they were different.)

    I thought I did. I did Win X..... windows powershell (Admin). That is what I posted. If that is not admin command prompt I need to know how to.
