Windows 10 Fall Creators Update: Remote Desktop Crashes

Ok this is a silly work around....but I need to print at home from my work computer. 

This solution requires Foxit PDF reader on your home computer and some PDF printer on the computer you are remote controlling.   The old resource kit program sleep.exe listed below is optional.

1. on home computer create a folder for holding a temp output file like   T:\PRINTER
   1. Create t:\printer\hold directory to hold batch files (yes, dos batch files :-)
2. on RDP client  [see image below]
   1. click on show options
   2. goto local resources
   3. click on More...
   4. under drives be select drive T or with "printer" folder from step 1
   5. click OK
   6. return to General tab and click save
3. In t:\printer\hold using notepad create 2 batch files:
   1. In batch file "find_pdf.bat" insert the following 6 lines:   (without the line numbers; and yes line 1 starts with a colon)
      1. :loop
      2. T:
      3. cd \printer
      4. forfiles /M *.pdf /C "CMD /c .\hold\print_pdf_file.bat  @file"
      5. T:\printer\hold\sleep.exe 20
      6. goto loop
   2. SAVE FILE "find_pdf.bat"  in T:\PRINTER\HOLD
   3. In batch file "print_pdf_file.bat insert the following 4 lines (without the line numbers)
      1. "c:\Program Files (x86)\FOXIT SOFTWARE\FOXIT READER\FoxitReader.exe"  /t  %1  HL-2270DW-USB
      2. T:\printer\hold\sleep.exe 3
      3. erase /q %1
      4. exit
   4. SAVE FILE "print_pdf_file.bat"  in T:\PRINTER\HOLD
   5. On the computer you are remote controlling use your print to PDF to place the PDF file to the folder:   \tsclient*T*\printer
      1. Note:  the *T*\ is the drive you set in step 2.4 above
   6. double click on t:\printer\hold\find_pdfs.bat
   7. Your printer should start printing!

In the future you just need to run the find_pdfs.bat file once.  It will loop until you stop it.  These batch files will delete your printed PDF files so do you store any other PDF files you wish to keep.

That must be it, then.  The date I mixed up was probably the install date.  So it looks like so far that patch, fixed the RDC crashing issue for me. Fingers crossed.

There's no quality release for Windows 10 1709 dated December 5th?

I looks like the features update, dated 5th Dec. seemed to do the trick for me.  After that update install, the RDC was stable along with the printers redirection enabled.  Thanks for responding and your suggestion.
