I have track numbers in front of some of my song names (not title) in my music libarary. How do I get rid of them. They are not in the "name" in WMP. I try to right click and rename and that doesn't work. I try going through properties into details and delete numbers in front of name, but it doesn't stay changed. Tried to edit in WMP and that doesn't work. Nothing I do permenantly changes the name (not title).

Ok.......when it ripped the cd, wmp created another file "love songs(E:)" no quotation marks on folder/file. I right click a song to see if i could delete and no option to delete......next?
Does the computer have a physical drive E:, or is it a virtual drive created by Win 7 or WMP?
Is "Love Songs" possibly the name of the CD or the Album?
Are you trying to Delete from the List Pane or the Details Pane?
Ric, I can send songs to recycle bin from windows music library.

We'll check to see where they're stored in a minute.... next rip a CD to the library (any will do) and when it has ripped see if you can delete individual tracks and then the whole album (as would normally be possible)
