OH NO!

Back to the Thumbnail Cache deletion Problem again!

MS please fix this real fast!

I was one of the testers giving information that Win10 always deleted the thumbnailcache.

Sorry page cannot be accessed any more!

All was fine after MS did some fixing with the help of MAAANNNY others that had the same problem!

Now I did the Fall Creators update! BAM! Back again.

Thumbnails get deleted ON EYERY reboot!

Thats really really annoying!

Do not try a solution. There is none!

The failure in the past was a database corruption. MS fixed it ( do not know how) and it worked. Now it is back!

Please dig into it an fix it!

    Sure. I tested it and it work for some days. After that it cleared the cache again.

    I received a fix from fs1853 and Beyond Novice's on Nov.16th 2017 and it's seems to be working

    Disable Disk Cleanup in Task Scheduler:

    Open Task Scheduler.

    In the left pane, navigate to:

    Task Scheduler Library -> Microsoft -> Windows -> Disk Cleanup

    In the right pane:

    Under Selected Item select Disable.

    I set this back on Nov. 6th and it prevents the clearing of the thumbnail cache

    What you see are icons being rebuilt

    • not thumbnails.

    I see the picture thumbnails and video thumbnails I think

    But I don't see the thumbnails getting smaller thumbs are at 850 meg when I open disk cleanup

    I will keep checking this over the next few days and let you know what I get
