When connecting the Xbox One S controller via bluetooth, many games suffer performance problems.
This is remedied by plugging it in via usb.
Firmware updates so far have not remedied the problem.
Just a brief anecdotal example before I demonstrate the scope of this problem
Just Cause 3's menu screen is locked to 30fps.
With KB+M: 30fps
XBone S via bluetooth: 22fps
XBone S via usb: 30fps

How do we get some dev attention on this issue? It's widespread and affects many games, and seems to be a driver issue.
I've tried updating from the current live release to the most recent insider build, as well as buying a high end bluetooth adapter. The issue persists, and clearly has nothing to do with me, my config, or anything we as users can do.
I've taken a fresh format, installed Trials Fusion(this game is particularly bad, unplayable over bluetooth0, and could immediately see the issue in play.
I've even swapped GPUs, from AMD to nVidia (not in an attempt to fix this, but it rules out display driver related issues)

Well I guess I am the latest victim. Just got a brand new BT 4.0 dongle in order to use a controller I picked up and it just kills Destiny 2. USB cable constantly disconnect if it experiences any jostling. Can't believe this hasnt been looked as based on all the feedback I have see all over from here to Reddit.
even in AC Odyssey as well, and it's a major constant stuttering

I also have this issue with my XBOX One S controller with firmware xxx.
When I play F1 2017 my framerates are fine using usb-cable to the controller, but whenever I unplug and use bluetooth (which is why I bought this new controller in the first place..) the game lags whenever I move around and/or at random times.
Not only do I get this laggy experience - but total connection drops are also not uncommon and pairing often takes over 1 minute.
Only thing I could do to "fix" it, apart from using is tethered - was plugging my bluetooth-dongle into an extension-cord (approx 50cm) and placing the dongle 10-20cm from the controller - which works but is somewhat annoying to have to do.
My guess is that the bluetooth-radio in these controllers are the problem, but what do I know I just wanna play some games with my new controller without all these problems!
Microsoft should really start paying attention to this problem, it's beginning to send a bad signal - no pun intented :)
I wish i had seen this thread before buying the cintrilleras i am suffering from the same issues now. Will have to send mine back and continue using my wired controller.
Shame on you Microsoft for not fixing a 2yr old issue.
