Hi,
there is a problem with laptops which have Intel iGPU + GTX 1050/1050Ti/1060/1070. The problem is whenever you perform some action on the OS, discrete GPU is triggered and it causes a 0.5s freeze.
Some actions, which causes the dGPU to wake up and lock up the whole system for about 0,5 seconds are:
Since the problem was OS based, it could be found on all laptop brands: ASUS, Acer, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, Razer.
This is nearly a three-year-old bug:

Hi everyone,
With the latest KB4284848 the problem is partially solved. The community and I have tested the build and we can confirm that it fixes most of the freezes.
There are still some problems though. Some freezes left within the Edge browser
and File Explorer. Please post your feedback!

Yes, there are really no freezes, but after the closing of games they return 1 time(open chrome, display settings etc.). That is, it is not completely eliminated(17134.165).
Try with latest update (17134.165) It works for me, no freeze at all!
May be off topic, but is this how they've decided to "solve" the problem? Look at the nvidia process spawning a bunch of smaller processes. That's freaking insane, the System process is constantly using 10-15% of my CPU causing the laptop to be constantly
hot af... But hey, the freezes are gone, amirite? Why can't they actually try and solve the problem instead of putting stitches everywhere they can?
This is crazy. Why are these normal operations which in theory should have nothing to do with GPU switch keep triggering dGPU? This should be a fundamental flaw in windows 10 design, but now this whole crappy OS has too many codes and M$ don't have enough man power to fix it.
This. I'd have switched to Linux a long time ago if it weren't for games. Windows has become a futile abomination MS won't ever be able to handle.
