Hi,
there is a problem with laptops which have Intel iGPU + GTX 1050/1050Ti/1060/1070. The problem is whenever you perform some action on the OS, discrete GPU is triggered and it causes a 0.5s freeze.
Some actions, which causes the dGPU to wake up and lock up the whole system for about 0,5 seconds are:
Since the problem was OS based, it could be found on all laptop brands: ASUS, Acer, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, Razer.

Hi everyone,
With the latest KB4284848 the problem is partially solved. The community and I have tested the build and we can confirm that it fixes most of the freezes.
There are still some problems though. Some freezes left within the Edge browser
and File Explorer. Please post your feedback!

Also as a weird side effect to this is that on some older apps like notepad and explorer.exe if you maximize the window and touch anything else the screen starts turning off and on rapidly.
The only thing that helped a bit so far was turning on the night mode and making the display a littlebit red.

Well you have drivers, they are microsoft generic drivers for igpu otherwise everything would be black, because on optimus monitor is connected to igpu and you dont need dgpu to have picture.
Drivers for dgpu are there for windows to see it, use it, and after put it in low power mode a.k.a off, if you dont install them dgpu will always run, it will be active a.k.a on, drawing power (but it will be useless to you because windows cant see it, there is no connection between hardware and software). You can see that in aida64, go to battery and see how much you lose with and without the drivers on idle.
I dont want to sound rude but it think you should read something about hardware-kernel-software, and how all of them work together.
GO to 11:33, not listen for 11:33, after that is just 10-15 sec of conversation. Its not about that, we all know that windows 10 is crap and ruins laptop exp, but that was the first time someone said that on a channel that big. I found that interesting.
Cool, but I assume that you have installed Intel graphic card drivers and also Nvidia graphic card drivers on these versions of Windows, do you? If not then you can't tell me that it's working, because on Windows 10 if I don't install both of the drivers then everything is 'work' and I know why. It will work because you don't have drivers to even run you external graphic card.. Please verify that and then you can tell me that I am wrong.
Not true, windows 8.1 here and everything works perfectly. Tested on 7 too and it works, only 10 causes problems.
