Hi,
there is a problem with laptops which have Intel iGPU + GTX 1050/1050Ti/1060/1070. The problem is whenever you perform some action on the OS, discrete GPU is triggered and it causes a 0.5s freeze.
Some actions, which causes the dGPU to wake up and lock up the whole system for about 0,5 seconds are:
Since the problem was OS based, it could be found on all laptop brands: ASUS, Acer, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, Razer.
This is nearly a three-year-old bug:

Hi everyone,
With the latest KB4284848 the problem is partially solved. The community and I have tested the build and we can confirm that it fixes most of the freezes.
There are still some problems though. Some freezes left within the Edge browser
and File Explorer. Please post your feedback!

Now to everybody here. You can see that waiting for a fix making no sense, because they never repair this kind of ****. Everyone should now go and return their products back and get money back also. I will do it as fast as possible.
Most of the problems are fixed on the insider version, so someone IS working on fixing. Read the first post.

Yes, Mariusz, when I start ubuntu, with the option of the bios "3D graphic acceleration", that is, with the intel and nvidia graphics activated, once Ubuntu is started, if I click on the settings button or on certain applications, the system hangs. This does not happen if you deactivate in the bios the option "3D graphic acceleration", that is, using only the integrated graphic of the intel processor, this also solves the problems in Windows, but obviously it is not worth not using a 1060 because of a compatibility failure.

I find it really funny that when it comes to privacy, EU members boast about how they have higher states yet in terms of consumer rights, they do nothing. What is EU or EU citizens doing in this case? Damn hypocrites.
And what are Turkey's citizens doing about it? Do you plan on making a plea to Erdogan to ban Microsoft and/or Intel and Nvidia in your country? All because some buggy laptops? Give me a break.
You have an issue with a faulty equipment, you send it back, take it to warranty or contact support to do something about it. I think this is valid almost everywhere around the globe in cases like this one, where the waters are murky and the blame gets tossed around different companies. For a fact, if I contact the authority for consumer protection in my country, the best case scenario will be they will fine the company that SOLD me the laptop and/or make them give me my money back. So, it's gonna be a fine to the local retailer. Not HP, not Microsoft, not Intel, not Nvidia.
Let's just keep the politics out of this and work together on the common goal.
