Hi

Cant download apps or games on the windows store for a month or so. Tried numerous trouble shooting online like clearing the cache and other methods but no luck please help!

    Hey none of these steps have worked for me with Forza Horizon 3 installing/download. any other tips?

    Hi Lukas,

    Thank you for sharing this to the community. We suggest that you try to reset your store cache by following the steps below: 

    • Press Windows key + R.
    • Type "wsreset.exe" and press Enter.
    • Check if it takes you to a store page which displays that the cache has been reset.
    • Now try to open the store app and check.

    I am a little afraid it has something to do with the latest Store app update (24/09/2017). Forza Motorsport 7 demo downloaded just fine before this update and now suddenly Forza Motorsport 7 full version cannot be downloaded. Coincidence? Maybe... 

    I am able to download the game after this:

    Start cmd as admin and type the following:

    PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}"

    I followed what you said as I have the same issue as well but no dice. I still have the error issue.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your response. We would like to know if you already tried running the Windows app troubleshooter? In case you already done with it and still having issues, we suggest that you use the System File Checker tool to scan your system files and to repair missing or corrupted system files. The sfc/scannow command (System File Check) scans the integrity of all protected operating system files and replaces incorrect, corrupted, changed or damaged versions with the correct versions possible.
