Windows 7 annoying "Unsupported Hardware" pop ups

You mean just right out of the blue you see a message like this:

That feature came along with the optional update KB4012218 which you can read about here:

Since KB4012218 contains no security updates/features and it is optional it is probably something your system can live without.

Look in Control Panel, Windows Update, Installed Updates and if you see KB4012218 listed, uninstall it, reboot and then see how things look.

If KB4012218 is offered to you again you can right click and hide it so (hopefully) you will never see it again.

no such update listed anywhere in installed updates nor in update history. yet still this message pops up, conveniently w/o any standard  'do not show this again' option .

NOOOOOOO I dont want any updates from MS I am totally linux now and running great

First, I'm not a techie.  Second, MS is still not allowing or writing any critical updates for W7.  And now, I'm having problems getting needed hardware updates from Logitech, Intel, and HP.  When trying to download an update, it tried but a MS popup comes up and says it's not allowed and guess what, no update. 

I don't care about the annoying popup on my screen, I'm worried about what I'm not getting from MS, as I'm sure I need critical updates for security reasons.  When other companies can not update their users software and hardware, then I have a real problem.

M$ sucks, and so does W10, IMHO.

the fix is really easy just remove this one and don't install it that's all ha a nice day.
