You bet, that would be a definite possibility, but do you think an organization like MS cares in the first place, Back in the days of dos when you use things like peek poke and other commands that would let you run hardware directly, greatest thing on the
earth, they took that capability away from us. I asked a tech that worked for them why and he said "Officially we dont want you getting into things that you can do that would damage or destroy your computer, Unofficially, we dont want you to have the
capability to easily look at the way we do things and come with competitive solutions." That is and has been their management's view of us,m the users, all along. I wish there was a way that we could all get together and tell them "Get your act
together and treat us right or your history, and just everyone shut them off for a week and let them see what we think. It's sad when you look at a company like they are and see the opportunities they have to really help society world wide and they
squander it with the stuff they put out. If they thought about it their updates to new systems would not require you to take on a whole new learning curve for a new OS, ie look at linux. You have god knows how many different flavors of the OS but all
of them use 95% the same commands, It is worked on by 100 times more people around the world than work as MS and they dont all work on the same OD flavor of Linux but when they update the OS to a new version, there is very little you have to learn
on the new system. MS has the technology, the expertise and the ability with out having the problem of a lot of people working in different parts of the world on different flavors of Windows, to put a really outstanding, and do updates without destroying
things. Linux updates very very rarely cause problems, MS almost always does in one way or another. People make good money off linux in support and business software and it is growing very fast. MS products, like windows 10 just plain suck because their
updates cause problems, they dont tell you or give you a choice, they just sneak things in on you, their software reports back to them on what you are doing, without your permission in some cases. It's just sad to see so much possibility flushed down
the toilet, which at this point is where windows 10 belongs in my opinion, its not to bad if you do run of the mill everyday low level user stuff, built when you experiment a lot, its a really bad system. As far a finding most people like
windows 10, I dont know who your asking but the majority people I talk to are geeks and experimenters and I have yet to hear of any that haven't gone back to win7 if the software they want to run will let them. Like I said for the average person windows
10 is "alright" but even their they have complaints as far as the ones I talked to. SOme do Like it, hell, I like the idea of it, but its a pain in the ass to work with. Some of the stuff they do in their setup and parameter changing is 10 times hared
to get around in and some methods have been removed that are fairly needed. Why? I really am not against windows 10, I am against making changes for the sake of making changes, for instance moving an item from a know location to an unknown location but the
function works the same, that is just stupid. They really really need to stop and look at changing their policy to putting the user first and getting off whatever it is that they are on that causes them to think they have to change everything around
ever 5 or 10 years just of let people know they are doing something.
