Msvcp140.dll missing

I just installed the WordPress app but it will not start because it says the MSVCP140.dll is missing.

Where can I get its replacement?

Do not worry we will help you with this issue.

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted/ missing system files. Try the troubleshooting steps below and check if it helps.

**Step 1:**I suggest you to download and install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 and check if it resolves the issue.

**Step 2:**Also, I suggest you to run SFC scan and check if it helps.

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files. If a Windows Resource Protection (WRP) file is missing or is corrupted, Windows may not behave as expected.

Follow the below steps:

  1. Right click on the Start button, click on Command Prompt (Admin).
  2. Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit Enter.
  3. After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.

    I have spent some much time troubleshooting this sound issue, that it has come to this point where I have almost given up attempting to resolve it.  The definition of insanity is to do it over-and-over again, expecting different results.  I do regret buying this NUC, it's been a pain.

    Today, I decided to give it another go, at fixing this sound issue - as i haven't previously ran the System File Checker to see what it states.

    1.  downloaded and installed Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015

    2.  ran System File Checker in Command Prompt (administrator)

    3.  connected speakers via its 3.5 mm audio jack.....

    The speakers were unplugged from another PC - confirmed speakers are working.  When I plug the speakers to the NUC, it emits a large humming sound.

    I am not convinced that the audio jack itself is faulty - as previously I heard muffled windows tune upon its boot and shutdown - now, i hear nothing or this large buzz.

    So, I am suspecting its my Windows setup which is the trouble....
