How to stop syncing photos in camera roll..?

I had around 5000 pictures in my camera roll(Lumia 540) which were automatically uploaded in my onedrive folder. Recently due to low space, I have transferred all my pictures to my PC. But my phone is automatically downloading from onedrive and syncing.  Even though I stopped syncing, I tried deleting pictures from my phone also. 

How to stop my phone automatically download the pictures from one drive. ?

    Hi, I'm not sure if you've received an answer to your query? I found the same only locating 3 dots in the left corner until I opened the onedrive app on my phone, I then clicked on my initials in the left hand corner which opened the menu folder with the settings option.

    However, I am still having problems unlinking my personal photos from my onedrive account? HELP.  My business email address is not selected and should not be syncing my photos, yet they are still updating.  Can anyone off any other help?

    Go into your gallery settings and turn off sync to onedrive option

    Thank you, but I'm unable to find this setting anywhere>  treied all pull-down menus, the 3 dots...nothing, zip, nada!

    I have a little bit different situation and need....I recently had to replace my iphone. When I received the new one, I restored it from icloud. I use OneDrive regularly, so I DO want it to sync with my pics. The problem is, it's trying to sync 1,000+ pics from the past that maybe were never synced or I had intentionally deleted them from OneDrive. I don't need those synced--for space or time! BUT I DO need to sync new ones as I work forward. How do I stop all the old ones from syncing but continue to work with new ones? [I tried changing my phone settings to allow only pics I CHOOSE; then I tried to sync in the OneDrive app. It stated the syncing was paused and needed to be turned on to allow. Then it started in with the old ones.] Thanks for any help!

    I'm having the same problem. I already turned off Camera Upload. OneDrive is set to NOT backup pictures, and to not save them to OneDrive, yet it still does it. I don't know what else to try. If there's a hidden setting to change, I hope someone one here knows what it is.

    Same issue - I can't get through to MS support (no surprise) - i need to stop the photo syncing altogether -but don't know which folders to delete without it thinking it hasn't synced and start the whole mess over again
