New software update for Nokia 222/222 Dual SIM: 20.05.11

we have started rolling out a new software release for Nokia 222 (RM-1137) and Nokia 222 Dual SIM (RM-1136): 20.05.11. You can update the phone software using Nokia Software Recovery Tool, find the instructions from here. Availability of the update may vary depending on your region and network service provider.

This firmware variant does not and did not offer Portuguese. You had a different variant installed, which was not visible from the Recovery Tool. Therefore, the tool picked the ‘wrong’ firmware package. I do not know, whether firmware downgrade is possible with the Series 30+ at all.

Tried to paste the 059X2Q1 RM-1136 on "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Packages\Products", and, in offline mode the software recognizes nothing!

So, what I have to do is fool the software?

Pick the .vpl file of 059X2Q1, change the name of it to 059X3K4, edit it with the 059X2Q1 files and try to flash.

Is that it?

Within Series 30+, the set of languages depend on the firmware variant installed on your phone. The firmware variant is identified through the Product Code. Your retailer sold you a phone designated for Poland but flashed it to the firmware variant of Italy. He did that, because Italy is one of (the only?) firmware variant for your model type (RM-1136) which uses the language set ‘AE’. And ‘AE’ includes Portuguese as display language. Consequently, you have to flash your phone to 059X2Q1 yourself, as described in that other thread. I cannot help you with that any further, because I have not done this myself either.

So, i tried to do this:

1: Download the files of 059X3K4 RM-1136 and paste it in "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Packages\Products"

-> The folder of Nokia Software Recovery

2: Connect the phone through Nokia Software Recovery (v6.1.49) in offline mode;

3: The Software tells me that is avaliable the version 10.00.11

-> Downgrade from 20.05.11

4: Try to install, then gives me the error 0x80131500, installation fail.

-> Stuck here, cannot move further

So, how to flash the phone with 059X2Q1?
