Lumia 650 loses Wi-Fi connectivity until reboot

With my new Lumia 650 running Windows 10, I have a serious problem with Wi-Fi, occurring daily.

At some point the device becomes unable to connect to any Wi-Fi access point, whether previously known or discovered with Wi-Fi Sense. I have observed this both with WPA access points at home and at work, and also with unencrypted public hotspots in the city.

In the Wi-Fi settings screen, I can see it repeatedly attempts to connect to one of the access points available for automatic connection, but then reverts to disconnected state.

Turning Wi-Fi off and on again does not solve the problem. Only after turning the device off and on again it becomes able to connect.

Did anyone else encounter this problem?

    Just for info, I was using 14393.103 for couple of weeks, without WiFi issues (was surprised how "stable" WiFi connection was). Yesterday I upgraded to 14393.105 and (surprise surprise) the problem is back again.

    After I entered Insider program and I'm running 14393.103 at the moment, no issues since 2 weeks now with WiFi

    I read a  lot of comments here of people referring to older wifi-routers causing this problem. I can tell you that I had this problem everywhere: at home, at the office, at friend's and family member's homes, in the hotel on a vacation. There were newer and older routers, so that can not cause the problem.

    I updated to the most recent Windows 10 version a month ago, and since then I only lost wifi connection twice. The only thing I did on top of that was deleting the pre-installed  Facebook app, that didn't work properly either since I got the phone. Downloading the app again solved that issue as well. Maybe these issues are in some weird way connected?

    So for me, the issue is solved. I did however notice something peculiar which might indicate a possible cause: I often lost connection when sitting in a chair near a DECT home telephone base station. Wifi once disconnected the moment the phone rang. This makes me conclude that Windows 10 phones, or at least the Microsoft Lumias, are extremely sensitive to all kinds wireless devices.

    My previous phone was an HTC Windows 8 phone - I had not one single problem during the two years I used that one.

    After the Latest lumia updates as on 19th Aug'16 also my WIFI is showing "no internet" most of the times.

    It works only after the phone restarts. Also still double tap to wake up Lumia 650 is still not available..

    Rest all ok..

    Hi!

    I can confirm (only from personal experience) that 14393.5 fixed the WiFi problem: In the time I had this version, my Lumia 650 did not have any WiFi droppings. Unfortunately, 14393.67 came soon, and the problem was back.

    Today, I reset my phone because some of the Live Tiles were not working anymore, and at least since then (for just a few hours now) WiFi did not drop. Resetting did not cure the Live Tile problem, though - but that's a different story!

    Combined with the WiFi loss is a massive battery drain on my phone.

    Yes, 14393.67 has the WiFi issue present for sure. As for the tiles I had the same issue (just for the outlook mail and possibly calendar), to only way to fix it is to go back using the WDRT without restoring any backup, once in, erase the FB app (another issue altogether), then windows update it back to 14393.67 and make the store update all apps, finally install all your apps including FB and you are good to go (working tiles and random WiFi drops again yay!).
