New firmware update for Lumia 950/950 XL: 01078.00053.16236.35xxx

Hey folks,

We are starting to rollout a new firmware update today for Lumia 950/950 XL: 01078.00053.16236.35xxx. Key improvements in this release include:

  • Wi-Fi connectivity improvements, including fixes for Wi-Fi connection dropping randomly and Wi-Fi scan occasionally not returning any results.
  • Support for double tap to wake enabled.
  • Bluetooth connectivity improvements.
  • Stability and reliability improvements.
  • Camera improvements, including improved image and video quality, improved Auto-focus and fix for a problem that was causing slow motion capture to skip frames for some users.
  • Cellular connectivity improvements, including fix for a problem that caused occasional network loss for some users.
  • Audio quality improvements, including fix for a problem that caused voice call audio to get scrambled for some users.

The availability of the update may depend on your phone model, region or network service provider. Starting today, the update should become available for the first batch of phones and the remaining ones are expected to receive the update gradually.

Windows 10 is updating continuously, so make sure you follow all the update notifications that appear on your phone. To check for updates, you can also tap Settings > Update & security > Phone update > Check for updates. For more detailed update instructions and troubleshooting, see.

    Europe .unlocked lumia950xl then almost did not get a firmware upgrade

    The strange thing is lumia950 Now that you have got a firmware

    In the end I just want to know whether I can get a firmware upgrade 950xl

    Otherwise, I think I'll go get the other countries to flash firmware

    This is not just 000GB. This FW covers France and Ireland as well, so we are not alone. Ironically, Microsoft EU, based in Ireland!

    It is pointless trying to speak to Microsoft. I wasted an hour on the phone to them. Get this. I was told it would be sent out with the AU on the 9th!! There is your answer. Don't bother wasting time you won't get back.

    I can not find any information and reasons for delays

    000-FR 000-GB do not have any update

    But the 950 has already been updated

    Still do not know the answer Is Microsoft UK lazy?

    France, Britain is probably the only country no firmware update friends

    This firmware update is not a great improvement but Microsoft does not explain why

    This is forcing us to use these add flash ROM?

    Are there any pipelines You can contact Microsoft Why uk has not yet been DTTW firmware update ?

    Same problem with this update in France for my lumia 950 XL unlocked simple sim black. What 's going on , is it possible to have some information about this delay?
