Disabling Windows Compatability Telemetry

Does anybody know how to stop the Windows Compatability Telemetry (CompatTelRunner.exe) from starting? It causes extremely high disk usage which results in large performance issues.

    I have never had gpedit.msc on my machine under Windows 10.  I don't like the idea of downloading software from third party vendors due to the danger of introducing a virus onto my machine.

    That's a pretty healthy attitude, but I think this is just a script that enables the windows 10 gpedit.msc. Seem legit (but disclaimer: I didn't investigate deeply).

    Actually Windows 10 Pro Preview on four separate computers and they all take forever to start.  Reminds me of the Xerox Star Workstations and 6085.  Turn it on and press the button and the steaming coffee cup comes up on the monitor telling you to take a break while it boots up - sometimes 10 minutes or more.

     Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Data Collection and Preview Builds. 

    This group policy folder structure does not exist on Windows 10. 

    Matches up until 

     Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components

    Are you on Windows 10 Pro, or the abomination known as Windows 10 Home?

    (I see it in Windows 10 Pro, but Windows 10 Home may not have it because that waste of space is defined as "Your computer, Microsoft's way.")
