I installed chromium out of curiosity but found I prefer google. chromium is not listed in my control panel to uninstall and google is not listed either. google chrome was listed and I successfully uninstalled that.

I have remove it without any problems on Windows 10 Chromium was not showing in Control Panel or listed in Add/Remove Programs for uninstalling.
Click Start> Settings> File Explorer Options > tab View then select> Show Hidden Files, Folders or Drives.
Click File Explorer> (C: ) Drive> Users >Your Personal Named folder >AppData> Local.
You should see the Chromium folder just delete it.
I had the problem where uninstalling from Control Panel's Program Files (regular or safe mode), or using CCleaner as an intermediate would do nothing after clicking Uninstall. Nothing was ever running in task manager to delete (probably because I'd somehow managed to remove part of it but not all and was left with a bad state). Then I tried the Fixit program mentioned above and it couldn't find "Chromium". CCleaner found some of the Chromium registry stuff, but the program still lived in some level in Program Files.
The way I was able to finally get rid of it was like above in the C: > Users >{Personal Named folder} >AppData> Local (I'm also on Windows 10). But with a catch; I'd already previously deleted the "Chromium" folder, but it was either there or somewhere near that I also found two folders with GUIDs for folder names, also installed on the same date that something gave me Chromium. I deleted those two folders and then was able to finally uninstall Chromium (or more accurately, went to uninstall from Program Files and it finally responded to click, saying that the program was no longer there).
Thanks, for the warning, SionC3Me. I am just going to try to be careful. When chromium got downloaded it also came with other so-called anti-malware products that I had t uninstall. They uninstalled fine, but chromium would not. Anyway, I am getting pretty good at resetting my computer, but I keep hoping Windows Defender will update with something that might catch chromium. So far, no.
Yep i know. I had same prob, i used unlocker to delete it. Warch out when you install unlocker as they try to dump nagware/other software on you at same time.
Hi, Yes, I have tried that but Windows would not let me delete it. I kept receiving a message that chromium is opened in another program or that I need to close all of my browsers, when in fact I had no programs opened and no browsers either. What I ended up doing was resetting Windows. That worked, but it is a pain.
The chromium, by the way, seemed to appear as soon as I downloaded an app to run in Firefox that would let me download youtube videos. I definitely, no doubt, need to be more careful about where I get such apps. So for browsers, I had been using both Chrome and Firefox. Now I only use Chrome.
