This is my problem, it insists that it cannot locate the CD, to the point where I bought a new disk. send help because this is infuriating and every fix about compatibility, or .ini files just isn't working.

don't launch on windows 10?
Try this one
- Type on folder in location:
"%appdata%"
- Find folder: "My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) II Files"
- create file "options.ini"
and
copy and paste this code:
AudioLOD = High
FlashTutorial = 0
HasSeenLogoMovies = yes
IdealStaticGameLOD = High
Resolution = 1366 768
StaticGameLOD = High
TimesInGame = 10
It must be working.
