Windows defender keep asking to update every 2nd day....

Hi

windows defender is keep asking to update it every 2nd day, action centre displays the notification about out of date  windows defender, when i open it windows defender completes the update as normally and than the other day it appears again.

any solutions to this??

    Yes, but many of those updates were not listed in Installed Updates back then ["KB3058515 and KB3059317 is not installed"] - and a security update for Flash Player (KB3065823) as well as KB3065988 were released since then (i.e., some of the questions are new).

    Assuming Win8.1 64-bit...

    We'll need to "dig a little deeper" here. Please answer each of the following[admittedly tedious] diagnostic questions in a correspondingly-numbered list in your very next reply, preferably without quoting this post:

    1. When & why did you install the Bitdefender application? When did you uninstall it?
    2. What, if any, third-party anti-malware applications (i.e., not Windows Defender!) are installed now?  What third-party firewall, if any?
    3. Is KB3058515, KB3059317 and/or KB3057839 listed in Installed Updates*(not Update History*) now*?*
    4. How about KB3065988, KB3035583, KB2976978 and/or KB3044374?
    5. What Update Version & KB number are displayed in the second line of text in IE11's Help | About [Alt+H+A] tab now; e.g., Update Version: 11.0.54 (KB1231231) ?
    6. Is Adobe Flash Player v18.0.0.203 for Internet Explorer installed? TEST HERE USING INTERNET EXPLORER ONLY! => http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

    Maybe there are some additional Windows servicing store problems causing the Windows Update Troubleshooter not to work properly or only partially fixing some of the errors it's supposed to repair?

    Windows Update Error code 0x80070057 (ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER) should be fixed by running the inbox Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool.
