Windows defender keep asking to update every 2nd day....

before facing this problem, windows defender ran out of date after a week interval or less, but now it happens one day apart, and also it didnt update it self automatically , i have to update it manually, it was showing out of date pop up again.

ACTIONS

1. Manually update Defender's Definitions via the UPDATE button on the Update tab, not via Windows Update - then write down the Definitions version installed.
2. Make certain that Automatic Updates is still turned on & set to the default Automatic configuration.
3. Leave the computer up & running and connected to the internet 24/7 for at least three (3) days [i.e., 72 hours or more] then...
4. Reply to this post & tell me (a) what Definitions versions are currently displayed in Defender's Update tab (without updating them manually) and (b) if the "out of date pop up" is still appearing.

There is nothing wrong with your update,   that is how the page always looks after a successful update.   It can be a little confusing until you get used to it but as long as you have a green line across the top things are OK.   If it was out of date, or you needed to do a scan the line would be red.    Hope this helps you,    Annie

KB3065988 is listed in installed update.

all updates are listed in installed updates.

2. yes same version is installed.

KB3035583 & KB2976978 are installed correctly, and didnt appear again on manual checkup.

the issue is same, while there is no pop up windows for out of date windows defender, instead an up date is always available  on every 2nd day after installing previous one.

How about KB3065988?

TIP => As long as Defender's currently-installed Definitions are NO MORE THAN 72 hours old, feel free to ignore the Optional Definitions update(s) offered when you run a manual check for Windows Updates per https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3067639
