KB3038314 Fails to Install get the error 80092004.

KB3038314 which was recently deployed by Windows update refuses to install.  This is a 64 bit Win 7 Pro machine running IE 11.  I've tried both the Windows Update web install method and downloading the update separately and both methods fail.  The update is part of MS15-032 released on April 14 (Patch Tuesday).  Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a solution?  After the update fails there is a failure code of 80092004 displayed and a message that says "Windows Update encountered an unknown error.  I have tried the Microsoft Fixit Tool and uninstalling IE 11 and reinstalling.  Any advice would be much appreciated.  Thanks!

    Except at the end it does not show rechecking windows updates, which in my case brings the problem update back. So no fix for me.

    Occasionally I help administer a server running Windows Server 2012, but not R2.  Taking another look at

    there is no standalone download for Windows Server 2012 ... and for Windows Server 2012 R2, there's a standalone download for the 32-bit version but not for the 64-bit version.

    Come to think of it, I think the following screenshot was from IE 8 not IE 11, I think.  I was in the middle of reinstalling Windows 7 on some other PC.

    In case the connection isn't clear, look at the URL that couldn't be displayed.  I don't know how to check if Microsoft spelled the URL correctly, though some time in the past it used to work.

    Another workaround would be to hide KB3038314 and check for updates again. It will show you 2 updates, the second one being KB3038314. Dont forget to hide it first then check for updates. If you wont hide it then it won`t work.It will only show KB3038314.

    Their suggestion is it's a corrupt update, so hide it in the list.
