Windows update KB3004394 issues

Windows update KB3004394  causes the following issues on my Windows 7 x64 Ultimate system:

All MMC functions (Event Viewer, etc.) now require Administrator action, although in an Administrator account.

Windows Defender service will not start

The Windows Defender Service Terminated with the following error

%%-2147023113

Removing it  returns the system to normal.

Anyone else experience this?

    Have you fixed the problem on your computer?

    I ask as there is evidence appearing that installing KB3024777 does not resolve all users problems. Some users are using system restore to take the system back to immediately prior to the December updates and reinstalling all updates except KB3004394 and KB3024777. This seems to work as  KB3004394 has been withdrawn and therefore is not offered through Windows Update.

    Don't take this personally. I'm not blaming you I'm blaming microsoft for this.

    All I want is a OS that is stable, and that I don't have to fix something that the OS developer has messed up. I know you're in a difficult position, this isn't you're doing this is caused by dudes who sit upstairs scratching they're **** :D

    I hope that someone can fix this, but this is not my problem anymore. I have moved to another OS.

    and the reasons for this are: Several updates by microsoft that have messed up my windoz / NT architecture is ancient and microsoft will never be able to make is stable unless they do something radical / I have little control over what windoz installer will install by default and I have to remove manually most of the carbage and so on....

    Call 1-800-Microsoft.  Tell them what issue you have, do not let them charge you for this support case.

    I'm sorry not to be more helpful but I only know what I see on my own machine.  It should be uninstallable.  It should be uninstalled via 3024777.  And of course no update should have screwed up so badly in the first place.

    Please holler back if you have any problems getting help directly from Microsoft.

    Susan,

    3024777 is NOT in my update history.  I did find that 777 is supposed to uninstall 394.  So I manually downloaded that update to install it.  Unfortunately it appears nothing happens when I try to install it, even as administrator.  If you have any more ideas that would be great.
