I have complained about this for so long.  Microsoft cares not a whit about customers who have been loyal for YEARS.  I am going to check out an Apple Computer.  I have a neighbor who uses Apple, has no complaints whatsoever, so it is time I made the transition,  Too bad, I have had Microsoft since the late 1990's.  It worked fine until they screwed it all up with V10..

I found the built in version you mentioned. Problems is that it does not work. Only half of each card displays diagonally.

Wish the engineers would pay attention to the people wanting this to be fixed. Also the old version included in Win 7 needs to be added to Win 10. This would make many people happy again.

I believe you underestimate the power of the 'average' user (depending on where and what you average) and/or their knowing someone with more skill than themselves they trust to help. Many people use Google searches (Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, etc.) every day.  I will concede that users who may find the removal of the games an absolute deal breaker for the free upgrade to the newer OS with at least 5 years longer support (2020 January ends Windows 7 support) might need or at least desire the latter (re:knowing/trusting someone else to do it for them) as opposed to anything else... But if they made it here to complain, it seems like it would be possible to me.

The process ended up being fairly straightforward, if you were willing to trust some third-party modifications. If you are not, yes, you need to have a little bit of skill. Or, you need to trust that some third-party modified whatever you download without any additional baggage added.  Risky.

I did all three ways.  Worked okay.  Didn't think it was really necessary, but, each their own.

I did not double check if the Windows.OLD folder might have what was needed.  I have to assume 'yes' since it is what rolls you back to the old OS, so if you can rollback, you probably still have on the same computer all that you need.  Maybe I'll try that, post the results.

Cannot post instructions, against house rules.  However, just following instructions that were put out for Windows 8/8.1 and 10 freely available on the Internet anyway.

You obviously don't know what you're talking about.  If one has already "upgraded" to Windows 10, the games are no longer on the computer.  You can't copy something that isn't there.  Most people did not know they would be taken away by Microsoft.  And this question is about photos, not games.

Shenan wasn't responding to your off-topic post.  You should post in the appropriate forum.  FWIW, he obviously wasn't suggesting copying the programs from within Windows 10.  Anyone whose Google isn't irreparably broken can find ways of getting them and installing them in 10.
