Error 800F0922 when installing a particular KB3022345

Yes it was set to Categories and I changed it as the icons appeared to have more choices. Seeing there is a difference between the two I probably need to keep an eye on it.  Yes I have struck different accessing techniques to applications before as everyone develops their own style of navigating through the computer.

With regards to the KB problem, I think it is fixed now as windows won't admit any flaws on their part, as  they will just fixed it quietly in the hope that nobody notices. A lot of people would not even care to look at their update history so would never know.  As it was optional I think their pc would continue to crank along quite happily.  However as I said previously that taking out and reloading KB updates to try and force other updates to load with out failing could cause problems, maybe those corrupted files? Category is the word that appears here without any Spanish. My daughter learnt Spanish a university here in AU. It has come in handy as she works as a travel agent. I did not realise that my text here would be translated into Spanish. Your text looks like pretty good English to me.

No, no...your text doesn't appear here in Spanish. What I was trying to say is that, in my system (Spanish version of Windows), in the upper right corner of the Control Panel, that option to visualize the icons is called "Categoría". But I was not sure if in an "English" Windows like yours the equivalent translation for that option / word would be "Category".

An example: in the Spanish version of Windows, the option for running a program with administrator privileges is called "Administrar"... a word that, translated into English, would be "Administrate". But, in fact, in English versions of Windows this option is called "Manage". The question is that when I write some steps of a procedure I´m not sure if I´m using the right words (due to the fact that my system is in Spanish but I have to put here the steps into English). It´s only that, nothing wrong with your post!

Anyway, I see you have understood how to change the view of the Control Panel and now you have direct access to the System & Security option. That´s the key thing.

And, with regard to what you say, unfortunately for Microsoft...some of us have realised of this problem in Windows Update.

As this is still a problem for some people..Is it worth worrying about. as it was not an important update and what with the new Windows 10 coming out , I feel too many people are wasting time for nothing, perhaps this is the reason MS has not responded to this mess...Just my thought, is it worth worrying about?? or will this cause problems on installing the new W10??  Just my thoughts..

I still have problems and have tried the above fix but still not installing also about 6 of the updates says still waiting for re start...

Try this:

1. Uninstall KB3045999
2. It will ask you to restart windows, but DON'T RESTART
3. Install KB3022345
4. Restart Windows
5. Install KB3045999
6. Restart Windows

This worked for me.  Good Luck.
