Asus Transformer Book t100 Webcam not working

I recently performed a clean boot of windows and it upgraded my PC to windows 8.1. Unfortunately, it deleted some of my driver software. I was able to recover most of it, but I can't seem to find the software for my webcam. I click the camera app and it says, "to get started, connect a camera". I assume it is because there is no driver software for it. Can anyone tell me where I can download the software, or if that is not why my webcam isn't working, can anyone tell me how to fix it in general?

Forgot to mention the integrated camera's light is on, so I really need to figure out how to access my webcam so I can turn it off. I've placed tape over it to cover it for now, but I need to turn it off somehow.

I had exactly this, and eventually managed to fix it by rolling back to a *previous* driver.

Control Panel > Device Manager > Imaging devices

Right clicked on Intel Imaging Signal Processor 2400 and selected Properties

Under the 'Driver' tab, clicked 'Roll Back Driver'

Restarted and it found the camera.

Frustrating when newer drivers actually work less well than the old ones...

Andre,

I had that problem while trying to fix an external audio problem and thought Micosoft wanted to see what was going on hi. I had to press the power button to turn it off. Good luck!

Fantastic - this worked for me - thanks!

For what it's worth, I tried just installing the camera driver from the V106 package, and leaving all the other drivers untouched, but it didn't work - but I don't know if this was operator error or what. (I'm not exactly a "driver guru", and Device Manager is something I stay away from as much as possible!)

However, running Setup in the root folder of the V106 package and updating (i.e. backdating!) all drivers worked fine. The camera now works with both the native Windows 10 Camera app, and Skype Video, etc.

The functional driver reports itself as 603.9600.1948.25969 dated 9/10/2013. Hopefully, if / when Windows 10 automatically updates to the newer (non-functioning) driver, I will be able to "roll-back" to this version. (The roll-back option was greyed-out previously.)

Unfortunately Windows 10 has an automatic driver update built into it. Unlike windows 7, where you could customize the drivers you use to run your system optimally.  Your cam keeps failing because it keeps updating to a driver that doesn't work.  You have to go back and continuously rollback any driver that works or reinstall the previous driver, and then roll back again once it fails.
