Asus Transformer Book t100 Webcam not working

I recently performed a clean boot of windows and it upgraded my PC to windows 8.1. Unfortunately, it deleted some of my driver software. I was able to recover most of it, but I can't seem to find the software for my webcam. I click the camera app and it says, "to get started, connect a camera". I assume it is because there is no driver software for it. Can anyone tell me where I can download the software, or if that is not why my webcam isn't working, can anyone tell me how to fix it in general?

Forgot to mention the integrated camera's light is on, so I really need to figure out how to access my webcam so I can turn it off. I've placed tape over it to cover it for now, but I need to turn it off somehow.

I had exactly this, and eventually managed to fix it by rolling back to a *previous* driver.

Control Panel > Device Manager > Imaging devices

Right clicked on Intel Imaging Signal Processor 2400 and selected Properties

Under the 'Driver' tab, clicked 'Roll Back Driver'

Restarted and it found the camera.

Frustrating when newer drivers actually work less well than the old ones...

Andre,

I had that problem while trying to fix an external audio problem and thought Micosoft wanted to see what was going on hi. I had to press the power button to turn it off. Good luck!

No,  I've just resigned myself to checking the video setting on Skype each time I want to use it.  If my picture does not appear, I go into Device Manager and upgrade the driver under Imaging Devices.  You may be asked to restart the notebook.  Once that's done I go back in to Device Manager, Imaging Devices, and you should find that the Rollback is no longer greyed out and you can roll back to the previous driver.  Picture then appears for me (you may need to restart, but last time I didn't).

Up until today I had to do that every time I started Skype (I don't have it starting automatically with Windows), however just now when we started Skype the video worked.  So maybe it's saved, but I wouldn't count on it!!

We are using the notebook overseas at the moment and as soon as we return home, I'm taking the it back - it's too unreliable.  We've also had the problem of the low battery and not being able to start it without using the 'home' key and start button.

I am also having the same problem after upgrading to Windows 10.  When I open the Camera app, I get this message:  "Something Went Wrong.  Make sure your camera is connected and not being used by another app."  The driver installed for the camera (imaging device) is: Intel AVStream Camera version: 20.10154.5745.778  There is not another driver available from Asus for my T100TAM.

Have you found a solution?  I have the exact problem with the same error message and no ability to roll back with it being greyed out.

I do not know if this will work long term but it seems to work now.  I downloaded and extracted and ran the setup for the ASUS download link:

    http://www.asus.com/in/Notebooks\_Ultrabooks/ASUS\_Transformer\_Book\_T100TA/HelpDesk\_Download/

Under the Chipset section I found SOC Driver Package(VGA and camera drivers included).

for windows 8.1 OS (windows 10 does not offer chipset drivers at the ASUS site).  Then it asked to restart.  I ran the camera app and it worked for a while then I got the same error message.  I have since tried it in other apps and it seems to work at least for the short term.  I will try to update especially if I do not get any more error messages.

Did anyone else have success with this?

    Thank you!
