Asus Transformer Book t100 Webcam not working

I recently performed a clean boot of windows and it upgraded my PC to windows 8.1. Unfortunately, it deleted some of my driver software. I was able to recover most of it, but I can't seem to find the software for my webcam. I click the camera app and it says, "to get started, connect a camera". I assume it is because there is no driver software for it. Can anyone tell me where I can download the software, or if that is not why my webcam isn't working, can anyone tell me how to fix it in general?

Forgot to mention the integrated camera's light is on, so I really need to figure out how to access my webcam so I can turn it off. I've placed tape over it to cover it for now, but I need to turn it off somehow.

I had exactly this, and eventually managed to fix it by rolling back to a *previous* driver.

Control Panel > Device Manager > Imaging devices

Right clicked on Intel Imaging Signal Processor 2400 and selected Properties

Under the 'Driver' tab, clicked 'Roll Back Driver'

Restarted and it found the camera.

Frustrating when newer drivers actually work less well than the old ones...

Andre,

I had that problem while trying to fix an external audio problem and thought Micosoft wanted to see what was going on hi. I had to press the power button to turn it off. Good luck!

FYI, on Windows 10 home edition (updated from 8.1) version 10.0.10586, build 10586, the only driver that worked for me is:

    Intel(R) Imaging Signal Processor 2400

    Date: 10/9/2013

    Version: 603.9600.1948.25969

and it can be installed from the SOC Driver Package V106.

You can download and install the SOC Driver Package V106 via the link above or it may already be installed. To check, go to Device Manager, find the device in Device Manager (normally under "Imaging devices"), go to "properties" and "update the driver."  Choose to "browse my computer..." and then "Let me pick...".  Make sure that "Show compatible hardware" is checked and IF you have the correct driver (listed above) already installed you can select it and choose "next."  After the update you have to restart your comp in order to load the correct driver.

    Hope this helps.

This worked for me to get the camera running on Win 10.

-Go to the Asus T100 support page. http://www.asus.com/us/supportonly/T100TA/HelpDesk\_Download/

    -Select Win 8.1

-Expand "chipset" and select one of the SOC Driver Packages. I can verify V106 is working.

-Extract the folder and run Setup. Allow it to install older drivers.

Once this completes you should see your camera show up once again as "Image Signal Processor 2400"

You may need to manually update other drivers such as display.

Not sure how long this camera driver will stay in place but it is a way to get the camera working.

You may be able to skip running the SOC setup and just update only the camera driver by pointing it to the SOC folder where the driver is located.
