How to get rid of "DNS Unlocker"?

I am just copying some other person's solution which worked for me.

After investigating, I found out that the damn "DNS Unlocker" had modified my DNS settings! After fixing this I was completely good! I have google chrome, so I am unsure if this fix persist to other browsers.

The path to do this follows:

Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings > Right-click your active internet connection (usually Wi-Fi since everyone uses that, unless your using a desktop) and click properties > Now under the Networking tab, scroll down until you find Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) > Highlight that then click on properties > Both options in this windows should be automatic! The first option should be set to "Obtain an IP address automatically" and the second should be set to "Obtain DNS server address automatically!" If your computer belongs to a company or you actually have a custom DNS then this would not apply to you. Once you are finish, click "OK" and close the windows > Now go back into Chrome and reset your settings one more time and boom! It should work just fine.

Respect to the developers who build these malware! 

Muhsiul's solution worked fine for a while, but DNS Unlocker was back in a more evil avatar in a few weeks. Then I did the following:

1. Installed Avast and used the free trial of the full version
2. Avast Smart Scan told me my network was compromised and suggested changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8 (it's a Google Public DNS address)
3. Followed Muhsiul's directions to change Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) properties, but went a couple of steps further as described here (opennicproject)
4. In Step 7 of the process described on the opennicproject page, I added 8.8.8.8 (instead of the one given there) and also removed a very suspicious-looking address
5. After completing the process, I ran the Smart Scan again. This time the network was 'OK'.

Hoping DNS Unlocker doesn't return after this. Fingers crossed.

In my case I discovered that DNSUnlocker had not altered the DNS settings, but it had altered the hosts file.

I had almost 40 Adobe hosts running, most of which were garbage malware.

The way to fix this is to reset your Hosts file to the default Microsoft settings. You can find how to do this by searching Microsoft help or Google.

After you reset the Hosts file, be sure to run SFC/ Scannow from an elevated Command prompt. This will fix and replace any corrupted files. After doing this I finally had no further problems.

I have now tried a combination of the Microsoft and Malwaretips advice, and uninstalled various programs; cleaned and reset browsers; set Google Public DNS settings; scanned with Endpoint, Avast, AVG & Kaspersky; run AdwCleaner, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Hitman Pro & Zamana and rebooted more times that I can remember.

I am now surfing without DNS Unlocker pop-ups, but Malwarebytes Anti-Malware gives me regular blocking messages about m73.dnsqa.me / 82.163.143.31, which appears to be the culprit, and is apparently trying to send an outgoing message to this site when I view, for example, the BBC News page.

My partner company's IT consultant says you have to reformat your PC and start again to get rid of this. I hope to read of a solution on these two websites soon!
