Game not working on Windows 10

I installed a game yesterday and had to uninstall it because it would just not work. I tried everything. Frist, it would say I had to be an administrator for it to run, so I ran it as an administrator, but then it just wouldn't start. So, I ran the technical compatibility troubleshoot and tried every setting they recommended and it won't start or open at all. It doesn't even try to start. The run as administrator permission box opens and I click ok and then nothing happens. It still won't work. Any fixes for this? It worked before on windows 7 and then I upgraded to windows 10 and now nothing.

    What's a DRM and why is windows 10 blocking some games? I just want to play my old games from disk - can we hope for a patch soon?

    To use the compatibility option, you need to right click the gameplay icon and select Troubleshoot Compatibility.

    You "may" be able to revert back to Windows 8.1.  You may have 30 days to do this.  Do a search on the internet for how to do it because it may depend on your PC.  This owner of a Dell laptop did it this way.  I do not know if files and programs will remain the same, but I suspect they will.  See what you can find in a search...

    "The option to downgrade is found when I clicked on the new Start menu, navigate to Settings and chose the Update and Security option. Within that menu, when I clicked on Recovery in the left navigation pane, I was given three options: Reset this PC, Go back to Windows 8.1 and Advanced startup."

    DRM is digital rights management.  Many game distributors have used several forms of DRM in a failed attempt to keep their games from being pirated.  SecuRom, Tages, SafeDisk and StarForce are just some of them.  Most of them do not use it any more, but some will require on-line activation and other forms of DRM.  This article explains more.

    Somehow I'm not holding my breath for Microsoft to provide any help for this problem.

    I have exactly the same problem..it asks if I want this program to make changes to my computer then hangs up. Sometimes it tells me to sign in with admin privileges - I am signed in with admin privileges already. nothing works
