Mouse and keyboard input not working after windows 10 upgrade from windows 7.

Well that was a TOTAL waste of another 4+ hours of time!!!  Nothing of the above worked.  Calling? HA!!! tried that and in the wee hours of the morning after 4+ hours waiting and two forwards I went to bed totally exhausted.  Left the phone on to see how long it would have been - it took them another 1:20+ to find out that I had given up and went to bed. 

However I have found out why I and probably so many others are having keyboard/mouse problems at a minimum.  MS in their imbecilic no-so-wisdom have decided to hijack BIOS addresses for Win 10.

How do I know this? Simple, I configured my BIOS setup that only the CD-ROM would be used for boot.  Guess what!  It never worked, instead only Win 10 did anything and I'm still stuck at a surf picture screen with absolutely no control what-so-ever of windows and now can't even run my bought OS's to repair/restore to a previous version!

There aren't enough expletives in American or British English to express my total frustration, exasperation etc.

For the technically curios the computer is an ASUS P6T V2 MB, Win 7 Ultimate (was), with MICROSOFT wireless mouse and keyboard 5000, 2ea. RAID0 512GB HDDs for boot**.**Everything had the most current driver available prior to upgraded as done/verified by "Driver Hound" by Xionix

I was hopeful for perhaps an ISO fix but since there is no access even through bios boot order, it appears that this computer is now a fancy boat anchor.  Think it is time perhaps to start a massive high $,$$$,$$$ class action suit.

SUPPORT???  Still trying to find that.

It seems that the only MS involvement in even this thread, is through the "well try this" shotgun provided by USBBlog.

Would really like to see some definitive help for this and a person-to-person phone number of a native American speaker (only because since I'm retired and no longer work around Indians my ear is no longer attuned to the Indian English dialect and with tinnitus it is too hard to understand).

Didn't want to rant so much but really need access to the drives again as there is Mended Hearts volunteer information that has to be accessed.

Windows 10 has been working fine on our DELL XPS All in One until a critical Windows update was installed on 8/23/15.  As soon as it come up from this update the wireless logitech keyboard stopped working.  Because it is a touchscreen it is possible to do troubleshooting without the keyboard.

Similar to others on here.  The keyboard works up until after you log into the home screen and it loads your profile.  

I tried to perform system restore to the 8/23 point but the issue was exactly the same.  

If you open the unifying software from logitech you can see the keyboard is there.  It even flashes an orange asterisks when you type on it indicating that it is properly talking with the computer.  The issue is that Windows just won't allow it to actually accept any typing in any field.  

Microsoft really needs to address this with an official response.

I upgraded to the window 10 tech preview from windows 7 and now my mouse and keyboard dont work once the os loads up and brings me to the sign in screen. I cant even roll back to windows 7 now because I have no mouse input except for when the bios splash screen is showing. Any help would be amazing thankyou.

I had the same problem. This started when I couldn't use two fingers to scroll the touch pad as i used too, i tried Elan Drivers, and when they didn't work. I attempted to install them. I ended up here.

I connected an external mouse, then i went to Device Manager, i could see the keyboard and mouse with a driver "Lenovo Ps2 something"... 

I uninstalled this drivers, for both the mouse and the keyboard, then set an automatic scan online for new hardware devices and drivers. This fized my problems. Hope you find this useful too.
