As a long term user of Microsoft Money and now Money Sunset Delux I am keen to learn if the programme will still work on the imending Windows 10? I would be happy to resume paying for Money, as for me, this is the 'Killer App' which keeps me on the Windows platform. Does anyone esle out there still use Money? How can we get this fantastic Personnal Finance software continued? or, Have you found a realisticly alternative application?

Hi Simon

I am back from a work trip, and I played around with a few settings.  I can now get Money Sunset Edition to run in the Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9879.

I changed the Compatibility settings:

Good luck!

Nick

I just installed Win 10 I like it except my Money 2007 Plus will not run. The message I get is as follows: "Money requires Internet Explorer 6 to function properly. Please reinstall Internet Explorer 6 so these components can be added." Once you click OK the program disappears. Money worked fine on 8.1.

Good, so they did completely fix it, as I expected. Of course, they probably only fixed it because it was something they could change on the Win10 side, which is fine. They obviously wouldn't be diving into Money's code to fix anything.

I am running Windows 10 Home and the registry fix is no longer needed on my machine.

The registry change is no longer needed on Windows 10 Pro with all updates, for what it is worth. If it still crashes on your Windows 10 non-Pro, does the registry change fix it for you? It may be a more significant issue if it does not.
