Hi Simon
I am back from a work trip, and I played around with a few settings. I can now get Money Sunset Edition to run in the Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9879.
I changed the Compatibility settings:
Good luck!
Nick

As a long term user of Microsoft Money and now Money Sunset Delux I am keen to learn if the programme will still work on the imending Windows 10? I would be happy to resume paying for Money, as for me, this is the 'Killer App' which keeps me on the Windows platform. Does anyone esle out there still use Money? How can we get this fantastic Personnal Finance software continued? or, Have you found a realisticly alternative application?

I did this all again so hopefully my computer won't crash next week.
Guys, read back through the post. The answer is in there.
You have to make one registry edit. To import files, or add a new payee, you have to install the .ddl fix that is available. I've been using Money for over 10 years. The suggested fix does work.
Here is the registry entry that needs to be changed. The .dll file is available on the web.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer] "Version"="9.11.10240.0"
When my system upgraded to 10049 I began having issues. I can run the program, but upon using the import handler for OFX files it crashes. I upgraded to Build 10074 and the problem persists. Luckily I have a VM still running 9926 that isn't have issues with the import. I may be one of those people running a Win7 VM just so I can keep Money running into the future. I'm trying various compatibility settings, but so far no luck. I even went to the folder where the program is installed and changed all the EXE files to use compatibility for Win7 and XPSP3 but it still crashes. It's a shame the only competing project is such a horrible one.
Same here. I have exhausted every option I have heard of to get Money to run under 10 - no luck.
I have bought Quicken several years only to install it and not use it because it just did not match up to Money.
I am quite impressed with YNAB.com (You Need a Budget). Not only do I have my check register with YNAB but when I download accounts now they will open in YNAB. I actually think it keeps me on top of finances more than Money did.
Microsoft Money was such a great product - could never figure why Microsoft dropped it from their product line. I am so much attached to Money however, that I keep listening for an option to make it come right up in Windows 10 and work.
The only thing that has changed so far is that Money has stopped request for Internet Explorer 6. Now it loads up like it is going to work until you click on an account. Then crashes saying it is sending notice to Microsoft and will notify me if a fix becomes available.
Thanks for all your continued efforts to make it work.
Update to build 10525. All issues have been resolve by Microsoft.
