Hi Simon
I am back from a work trip, and I played around with a few settings. I can now get Money Sunset Edition to run in the Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9879.
I changed the Compatibility settings:
Good luck!

As a long term user of Microsoft Money and now Money Sunset Delux I am keen to learn if the programme will still work on the imending Windows 10? I would be happy to resume paying for Money, as for me, this is the 'Killer App' which keeps me on the Windows platform. Does anyone esle out there still use Money? How can we get this fantastic Personnal Finance software continued? or, Have you found a realisticly alternative application?

Hi Guys,
I had a live chat with Chaneen S Microsoft Answer Tech. She worked her magic and fixed the problem for me. I alerted her to this chat room and she will alert her superiors to roll out a patch.
I am not technical but she did go into my registry and changed a value for internet explorer.
MS money now works for Windows 10 for me!
If all else fails, I know you can import Money files into QUicken. Note: you will have to review the results, it is less than perfect.
You might try reading the posted answer at the top of this discussion, or on page 4. It's a really simple fix.
but here it is.
OK - on a at your own risk basis ...
I found this on another forum:
"After much searching I have found this works for me
MS Money (MoneyDlxSunset) has worked with following registry change.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer]
"Version"="9.11.10240.0" (originaly: 9.11.10240.16384)
I'm not sure about side effect by this change. registry change is at own risk.
Worth saying thanks to RajanDixit - if it is good for you.
also you may need to replace the dll file if you have issues importing. You can find that mentioned in the post and in other posts in the forums....
Microsoft never promised Money would work with future operating systems when they stopped supporting it in
2011... but there is a robust number of people committed to keeping it going, we'll have to depend on them to keep it going....and thank them profusely.
I've used Microsoft Money for years and when I went to Windows 7, I got the Sunset Edition, which has worked great. Until two days ago when I went ahead and upgraded to Windows 10 without giving any thought to Money. Oooops..... I couldn't even access the data with a backup. And I have about 10 years of data in that program. After two days of trying, I finally got back the old 7. That Money program is a lot more important than the Windows upgrade I hope to find another program in the Next 27 days the Ill be able to copy my Money data to, so I may be able to reinstall Windows 10. Anyone have any suggestions out ther??
