Windows 10 minimizing any games automatically at random times

Hi,

Since I installed Windows 10, all my games minimize at random times, I don't have anything else open. It happens with Steam games, as well as games not in steam, like Guild Wars 2 for example. It is so annoying, sometimes I am playing PvP tournament and the game minimize :(

This is happening in all games that I have installed right now:

-Terraria (steam)

-MKX (steam)

-Guild Wars 2

Also I found out that is not happening just in games, sometimes while I am browsing the internet too. I use Chrome to browse.

Did some research on the internet and I found some solutions, but none did work for me. What I did so far and didn't work:

-Disabled Internet Explorer 11 (Edge?).

-Set my Nvidia GPU to  single display performance.

-Deactivated Windows Defender.

-Deactivated OneDrive.

My previous version of windows was 8.1, and I never had this issue before. It is only happening since I upgraded to windows 10. Also, to make it clear, the installation was clean, only files/documents were saved from 8.1. to 10. The rest I installed my self, like steam, the games I mentioned above and my GPU drivers.

Please help.

So since no one from Microsoft has pitched in here... Here is the issue as I've noticed. Certain games run in a controlled "full screen" mode... So when another app tries to take front and center, the full screen game closes. That is why this doesn't happen for browsers and such.

The issue is the Windows 10 Action Center toasts.

To prove my point, setup some form of action center toast, for example, if you have an android phone you can have it connected to Windows 10, and it will notify you when your battery is going low. Play a fullscreen game and wait for that toast to happen, once it happens the game minimizes.

The issue is the same issue since the dawn of Windows "balloon" notifications. The balloon used to attempt to take front-and-center and it would minimize your game, normally during important points in your game. Now it isn't the balloon, but the toast notifications.

So you can either disable it completely or complain enough to MS and ask them to let the toast happen in the background.

    It's rather frustrating!

One way to fix this is to right click and turn on "quiet hours" while you are playing the game.

I agree that it is unconscionable for Microsoft to leave this bug in place.  It affects so many Windows 10 users, probably all.  Many are not computer savvy enough to go the the support community to find the source of the problem, even fewer are able to implements some of the recommendations (I count myself among these).  Yet, none of the "official" suggestions work, like turning off tablet mode and running the scan.  Totally useless advice.  It would be great if MS could just admit there is a bug and fix it for everyone.

Are you still having this problem? I'm trying to find a solution to fix this issue.

I just upgraded to Windows 10 and now I'm starting to regret that decision. Windows 7 worked great for me.
