Nokia 808 Windows 10 USB drivers

This is probably a lost cause at this point, but I've upgraded to Windows 10 and my 808 no longer connects via USB o Bluetooth. There appears to be some sort of driver issues, as in device manager there are multiple 808 and MTP entries with the exclamation mark. Uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers does nothing.

Any suggestions short of finding a Windows 8 computer and using that?

I contacted Microsoft's mobile group on Facebook about this issue, and they suggested that I reinstall the cable driver.  Tried that and...almost got it to connect.  I got to thinking that if it's the cable driver that's not working right, maybe I should try to connect without a cable.  I grabbed my little Bluetooth kernel and plugged it into my laptop and...SUCCESS!!!  I was able to sync my day-to-day stuff (pics, contacts, text messages) with no problem.  I tried to backup my phone with the suite and it went REALLY slowly, but it worked (I backed up my phone a week or so before updating to Win10, so I wasn't really too concerned about not finishing the backup today).

So, if you have a way to connect to your computer by Bluetooth, give it a try and it /should/ work to connect to Nokia Suite.  I still want to resolve this issue with the cable connectivity, though, as much out of principle as it is out of convenience.  Bugging the hell out of me...

    very, very long message.

    I installed the file "mobilepartner" as suggested by Svetlana.

    I just did a quick test.

    I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in using N8 as a modem.

    Maybe @vienna10 can help you better.

    You were right!

    I first unpacked the two parts from the first link from Svetlana, but didn't get it installed. Setup was complaining of a missing file data.bin.

    So then I tried 3- http://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=18474 which resulted in ONE zipfile that was easy to install, and followed Svetlana's instructions that I had to modify a little for my localised Dutch windows:

       *TO BE ABLE TO CONNECT N8 VIA USB CABLE  TO NOKIA SUITE AND USE MOST OF ITS FUNCTIONALLITY

    Connect your nokia to pc,go to device manager-ports-NOKIA USB SERIAL PORT-Right click-deactivate (NOT "Delete), then modems-NOKIA USB Modem-Right click-deactivate, disconnect phone and restart PC . Your  PC Suite already Works 98% (sync,backup,galery).

    To add another "%" for usb modem you have to:

        *TO USE N8 AS  3G MODEM TO ACCES INTERNET ON A LAPTOP IF THERE IS NO WIFI

    Download and install the software Mobile Partner for windows.zip.  Then:

    1. go to modems
    2. select NOKIA USB Modem
    3. Right click then select update driver
    4. select find software driver already installed on pc (OP MIJN COMPUTER NAAR STUURPROGRAMMA'S ZOEKEN)
    5. select manually-from already installed (IK WIL KIEZEN UIT EEN LIJST MET APPARAATSTUURPROGRAMMA'S OP MIJN COMPUTER)
    6. Un-check show compatible hardware
    7. on the producer window select HUAWEI INCORPORATED
    8. on the model window select HUAWEI MOBILE CONNECT 3G MODEM
    9. then click next to update the driver and you will get Huawei mobile connect 3G modem (IN STEAD OF NOKIA USB MODEM)
    10. start (double-click icon IN ALLE PROGRAMMA'S) the software "Mobile Partner" (BUT YOU CAN CLOSE IT RIGHT AWAY AS IT WILL NOT WORK WITH N8)

    Mobile Partner won't work.

    EITHER you have to have "Nokia PC Suite" installed before you INSTALL THE HUAWEI MODEM. Then simply START Nokia Suite EN SELECT:-Tools-Connect to internet.

    OR you have to manualy configure your HUAWEI MODEM:

    To  establish connection manually you should put a call to your mobile operator to have an initialization command (my is AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet.tele2.ru") and a number (my: *99#) to connect.

    Then go to control panel-devices and printers- right click on your phone-modem settings-sometimes you have to fill out a screen in between befoor you go to -TAB: modems-tap on HUAWEI Mobile Connect 3G Modem-properties(TABGENERAL)-change-TABADVANCED-addition commands-paste_your_stringAT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet.tele2.ru"-ok-ok.

    Go to control panel-devices and printers- right click on your phone AGAIN-NOW CHOOSE connection(INBELVERBINDING)-dial-paste_your_number_*99#-ok.  Depends on your provider may be additional username and password.

    frankly speaking, I do not know what kind they are.

    I personally tried the first "driver" (the one suggested by Svetlana) in windows 10 pro 64 bit and it worked perfectly.

    @vienna10 is right: Nokia Suite is a 32 bit application and it is working fine on a 64bit-OS.
