Tencent, QQPCMgr ---Does any1 know how I can remove this tuff virus pls?

It is not in 'Programs' to uninstall but is in program files and sits on the front of my desk top in pop ups and won't be deleted. If I try to delete the program files it says access denied and I am the administrator - sigh

I just solved this and since no one is willing to actually help, i will.

Go to the install directory (For me it was Program files (x86) \ Tencent) and find the Uninstall file, then run it. I know it is embarrassingly simple, but it worked.

It's all in Chinese but just click where the OK button usually is in English.

Is this what your are referring to? Not sure it's considered malware - this appears to be a program that has to be deliberately downloaded.

Can you disable it in Startup or Task Manager and then remove it manually?

I'm sorry, but the uninstall file doesn't exist in the Tencent directory, so how can I remove it?

There is a way to do it as I now have got rid of it myself! - To do this you need a windows computer,

Windows XP- Windows 10

(1) The first step is to check all the devices connected to the wifi of your home because Tencent QQPCMgr normally infects them. If you've got ios(Apple) , get ifile and look in your internal storage and the SD(card) for any program file names (strings) named as Tencent. There is no problem deleting them on ios so delete it quick. Then, if you have android or any other phone platform types, Check them with file managing apps and delete Tencent. If that doesn't work, plug your (infected) phone into your (infected) computer and delete it. The reason it has to be infected is it might infect the (clean) computer which won't be good either.

(2) Then, to get Tencent off your laptop (or desktop computer) shut it down and when you open it back up, press f8 and hold to open up windows safe mode options. Then enter into safe mode (without cmd(command prompt) or networking) and then let windows load. Then, go to Tencent's root folder, "C:\Program Files (x86)/Tencent/QQPCMgr" or if you have windows xp then go to

"C:\Program Files/Tencent/QQPCMgr". Then, delete those files and 5 files will be left because they're open. Repeat step (2) and delete the five remaining folders.

(3) The third step is to delete the set off file, the way Tencent got onto your computer. If you didn't download anything to make it come onto your computer, then you skip step (3).

(4) Lastly, get IOBit uninstaller from - http://www.iobit.com/en/advanceduninstaller.php and then it will come up with Tencent, or Chinese writing in the uninstall list (normally at the bottom) and click deep uninstall to delete the remaining files. There might still be some Tencent files on your computer, but they don't matter because you deleted the root files - step (2) , so your ok. If you have found Tencent on another computer, repeat step (2)-(3) on the desired computer. Also, Tencent may install other programs, commonly DailyPCcleaner so uninstall that, you wont have a problem.

If you still have problems, please reply or reboot your computer.
