SFC cannot fix corrupted files in Windows 7 -- Windows Update for May 2015?

I'll chime in and say it broke my Win 7 SP1 X64 system as well.  Broke SFC and the "Installed Updates" list, so I wasn't even able to go remove updates one at a time.  Had to restore from an image.  

I have windows #7 64 and I had to uninstall KB3022345 also it was causing my system Restore to have an error if I tried to create a restore point" ....I,m thinking of just turning off my updating and adding no updates to my P.C.  its just that every other month when I install all the Important updates Microsoft sends me always causes a problem somehow and somewhere on my computer' ... would it really be a wise thing to turn updates completely OFF..?  ...unless Microsoft starts paying attention to what they.re sending us every month I,m apprehensive to install any Updates lately,  what should I do.....?

No, you can't opt out.  Windows 10 collects your information whether you like it or not, regardless of which option you choose.  

As usual you are not entirely accurate. I think there is a two level feedback to Microsoft. The first level is a diagnostic level and the second is about usage. You cannot opt out of the first level but you can disallow the sending of usage information to Microsoft. It is the second level that intrudes on a users privacy.

No, you can't opt out.  Windows 10 collects your information whether you like it or not, regardless of which option you choose.  There's language in the installation agreement that states Microsoft basically owns your PC and everything on the machine effectively belongs to Microsoft if you choose to install Windows 10.  

The only real solution to this problem is to get rid of Windows altogether, which I strongly recommend to most users.  The only reason anyone should still be using Windows is if you have a particular piece of software that you are required to use for work.  If you're an average user, then Linux Mint, Ubuntu or Zorin Linux is an ideal replacement for the Windows OS.  

I'm forced to deal with Windows machines at work because most of my co-workers aren't as savvy as I am and they're fearful of making the switch, but for all of my personal machines I use various Linux distros and have reached the point that I wouldn't keep a new Windows PC if it was given to me for free.

Another member of EVGA forums already started a thread complaining about the spying and forced updates and forced restarts in Windows 10. We all want our OS to be stable and most of us agree that Windows 7 is perfection incarnate. We at EVGA are mostly focused on performance and gaming. Most important to us is the video drivers being forced on us as all video drivers are not created equal and perform poorly in some games. Equally important is having our Windows 10 PCs having a forced restart after updating. This is especially important to me as I participate in Stanford University's "Folding at Home" project in an effort to cure cancer. To me it is personal since every one in my mother's family has died from cancer. I am the first to have a chance to fight back and having my PC restart during the night while I am Folding loses all of the progress in the Work Unit I am currently folding with my video boards. My twin GTX-980 video boards can spit out some WU and points and I take pride in doing my part. I have Windows 7 notify me when updates are available but let me decide which ones to download and install. Windows 7 forever! Windows 7 users need to unite and put our foot down to stamp out spying by Microsoft!
