Learn more about the new features in MyWatchlist by clicking here: My Watchlist: FAQ

You may have recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com  pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and may not have received all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data. The MSN team has resolved the issue and you can now regain access to that information by following the steps below.

Note: These steps only apply if your Watchlist has already been imported and there is data missing. If you have not already imported a Watchlist, please go to the Watchlist, sign in, and you will then be prompted to begin the import. You may need to return to this step if you find that data is missing after your first attempt to import.

Step 1: Create a new Watchlist and delete any Watchlists from previous imports

Step 2: Re-import your existing Watchlist or Portfolio data from MSN.com or my.msn.com into a new Watchlist

Step 3: Clean any erroneous data imported into your new Watchlist(s).

If you need more details about the steps, please go to this article.

If you are still having difficulties or would like to report any errors, please reply to this thread.

Thank you!

    Hello Adriana,

What can we do to get our lists from the old portfolio manager? It is supposed to expire the 22nd Dec, but seems to be already closed. No access to the old and no import prompts to the new and no data in the new either. I followed the instructions above but to no avail.

I have more than 10 years of data in the old portfolio manager and no way to access it since a week or so . What can I do now to get my data?

    thanks,

    Thomas

I cannot access my old MSN Money Portfolio. Keep getting pop up stating 'problem with online service'. Everything is blank in old portfolio. Watchlists all incomplete. How can I get original information from original portfolio?  I know it is closing down on Dec. 22nd so I need access to move stocks to new portfolio but I can't locate them.  Are they stored someplace that I can access?.

When I try to migrate to Watchlist (even after creating new or deleting original watchlists) It does not even find the data from "My Portfolio".  It is like "My Portfolio" is invisible to it, even though I've had it for 15 years plus.   Followed all of the troubleshooting directions for migration.  It just does not find data from "My Portfolio", it just doesn't work.  Support links and telephone numbers just put you in a loop back to here.  There is no support.  Retry import link doesn't work.   I have all sorts of .MNY and .MNB portfolio data files on my hard drive, why don't they have it migrate the data from the latest one of those??  They shouldn't have told us we had until Dec 22 to migrate.  To me it looks like you had to do it before Dec 12 or you are doomed.

Click "My View" when youre in the Morningstar Portfolio Manager.  Then click "My View 1" and you see the Morningstar default view.  Now click "Customize My View" on the far right to change columns in View 1.  Morningstar provides many column choices, but "Unrealized Gain/Loss Since Purchase ($)" is their only choice they have to see the dollar gain or loss.  They dont have a "Daily Gain/Loss ($)" option.  I want to see how much I made or loss for the day.  MSN provides this information in both the old and new PMs.

Yes, they do have a "$ Day Change" option. Works.

Thanks, a couple others already let me know.  I kept missing it when I read down the list.   Duh
