Learn more about the new features in MyWatchlist by clicking here: My Watchlist: FAQ

You may have recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com  pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and may not have received all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data. The MSN team has resolved the issue and you can now regain access to that information by following the steps below.

Note: These steps only apply if your Watchlist has already been imported and there is data missing. If you have not already imported a Watchlist, please go to the Watchlist, sign in, and you will then be prompted to begin the import. You may need to return to this step if you find that data is missing after your first attempt to import.

Step 1: Create a new Watchlist and delete any Watchlists from previous imports

Step 2: Re-import your existing Watchlist or Portfolio data from MSN.com or my.msn.com into a new Watchlist

Step 3: Clean any erroneous data imported into your new Watchlist(s).

If you need more details about the steps, please go to this article.

If you are still having difficulties or would like to report any errors, please reply to this thread.

Thank you!

If the portfolio was free, what have we been paying for!  I agree the new Watchlist is useless.  Morningstar doesn't equate to the old portfolio manager.  Still can't find one that does.  HELP!

Why would any of you even want to use the new Watchlist?  It doesn't have the columns you want or need.  It's a simplistic, basic watchlist.    And I mean watchlist, NOT a portfolio manager.    Just move on to something better like Morningstar or something.    Save yourself the frustration.  After all, it was a free portfolio manager.  It's not like Microsft is losing subscriptions or anything by terminating it.

The info will not migrate.Period.I have tried to import several times per day the last 5 days ,assuming that by now Microsoft would have the problem figured out but so far it simply does not work.

I hope the powers that be will see fit to keep the old Portfolio Manager available until the new can be used.

I cannot even comment on the My Watchlist as I have had no opportunity to use it as the info will not migrate.

    Adriana,

I followed the updated instructions.  My funds all came through but my totals were less than the (accurate) totals in the old portfolio manager, leading me to believe some of my transactions were left out in the import.  This has happened every time I try to import, and I have done this 5 times so far. Bear in mind that I have multiple funds in my portfolio and my transactions go back to 1997, making it very difficult to go through and figure out which ones are missing.  Additionally, I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but I find My Watchlist to respond very sluggishly most times I click on something, and it often locks up temporarily even while scrolling. I am not working on an older computer and have no problems with other websites.  I will not even get into the dearth of features in My Watchlist as compared with the old portfolio manager.

I will reiterate the sentiments of others in this thread:  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE allow us past users to keep the old portfolio manager. The new My Watchlist is just abominable.

I sure would like to know that site.  I have to much to move to wait until the last day to find out it's gone.
