I have replyed to this community several times before. Like everyone else nothing worked. I then called Microsoft and did get a rep. that knew what he was doing and finally got my portfolio and watch list imported. However another problem, there were 8 of
them and non of them were correct, as to shares, funds, stocks etc., etc. . The new platform is terrible and very difficult to correct errors. The layout is horrible and virtually useless.
So I have gone to Morningstar .com and set up a portfolio and watch list, and it's free. I am slowly entering my info into their platform , which works great, is user friendly and much more info then even the older portfolio manager. It does take time to
go thru my old info and input it into the platform but well worth it.
One can also use Yahoo finance, Marketwatch or Zacks.com and set up a free accout and portfolio.
MS has been getting really screwed up. They also took away My MSN home page which is now the same you get for free on MSN which includes outlook for your email, addresses book, and saved email (as long as you move them from the folders on my computer to
folders on MSN). You will need to set up you bookmarks to another browser such as Firefox, Google, or IE. If you do these things, which is a hassle you can drop MSN premium and save yourself money, problems and have a much better computer experience from home
pages to portfolios.
Good luck to you and the thousands of others who are hating the new MS platforms. I expect if they don't go back to previous platforms they will be lossing a lot of paying customers.
