Missing Network Settings - "Find Devices and Content"

Windows 8.1 -Under all my various network adapters there is no  "Find Devices and Content" box.

I've tried various fixes. Changing homegroup etc. Nothing work.

Please provide some guidance

I am not sure if everyone is checking at the right place if they are connected to domain network and they have 8.1 because only 8.1 has this option. Windows 8 has a different way to share devices and content.

I have been using Windows since forever and have used Apple too, so switching to Mac / Apple is not going to help. Its just another OS with the same fundamentals. Go figure it out in a Apple store if you want a demo.

    EMontanhole, do you know if your laptop is a work laptop ? Sometimes, system administrators remove some options by disabling or removing certain registry keys. If you have a personal computer, do give it a shot. This is exactly what happened with me.

    The computer NOT is in a domain.

    The "Find devices and content" is NOT there, that's the whole problem here, check the older postings.

    Hi,

    The feature that you are referring to is only available in Windows 8.1.

    Verify in computer properties if your computer is connected to a domain.

    Below I have uploaded screen shot of my computer which verifies the presence of the feature.
