You just sound too arrogant to understand someone's experience. I have a yoga which also has a touchscreen. But I find myself using the mouse most of the time because the modern interface is super mouse friendly. People complained because they probably need time to get used to it not that the interface was difficult to navigate to using a mouse.
The black bar interrupts the clean interface, conflicts with apps that rely on using that area. Fine! Provide if people need some thing like that. But don't impose something as hideous and roughly designed as that on all windows users without an option to disable it. That is all everyone here is asking for, only if you can spare your mind from being arrogant.
