2013-10-27T16:22:35+00:00 I think it's a good idea for those of you rolling back to Windows 8 to report this mouse issue to your mouse manufacturer's technical support groups (email or forums).
The reason being, If you raise the issue with the mouse makers then they may also raise the issue with Microsoft through their own channels, which would be another avenue of getting Microsoft's attention.
I would not explain to the mouse makers that the source of the problem is with Microsoft: let them figure that out themselves so they can formulate their own complaint to Microsoft.

2013-10-27T14:43:37+00:00 I feel your pain and I'm about to do the same thing tomorrow except I may go all the way back to 7. The only thing attractive to me about 8 was that it was a pro version with group policy editor(finally!.., but found out it was quite useless.) rather than a home premium version. Yes sir, back to simpler times when I already knew they didn't care and everything was fine.

2013-10-27T08:46:31+00:00 Same problem here. Using a Logitech G9X mouse, and a mouse poll rate checker is saying I'm getting 200 Hz at most, instead of 1000 Hz. Oddly, when I don't have a browser open, it drops to 100 Hz.

2013-10-27T07:32:10+00:00 Exatly what happened to me too. Nothing else changed but the OS from 8.1 -> 8.0 and boom! Everything works as supposed to. Mouserate 1000hz instead of 200hz.
This is a damn long thread and MS has not answered even once?!
