Same problem as many here, KB2919355 fails with error 8007007E. Any help would be appreciated. @hurleyp, there appear to be many reasons why KB2919355 is not installing. Some people have been able to recover, others have had to do an in-place repair or a re-install (both require Win 8.1 installation media) or rebuild their their systems from scratch. P.S. I apologize for the tone of my prior post. But I'm not going to sugar coat the issue here. Those of you that are left with this issue there's no big fat easy button to fix this. Your system is not healthy and this large update is showcasing that there's deeper system corruption that needs to be addressed.

There's some update coming out today which indicates it's a replacement of one that came out earlier that helped a bit with the install. if the one coming out today doesn't help you are facing a repair install/inplace reinstall or a total rebuilt. There's no easy fix here. I'll post up when the KB I'm watching goes live, but bottom line folks that are left still experiencing this issue, you need to cut your losses and not wait for Microsoft to fix this. In their minds we're rounding errors. I'm sorry for being blunt, but I'm also facing reality that Microsoft responds to big customers and very loud squeaky wheels and we're not either one.
