I tried to install 8.1, and after downloading and appearing to install, my PC hang for about 2 hours. I reboooted and recieved a message that 8.1 could not be installed, and reverting to 8.0. Error message 0xC1900101-0x40019
This morning I again tried to install from the Store, and immediately got a message This app was not installed. Error message 0x80070652
Any idea as to how to install 8.1?

2013-10-18T18:48:33+00:00 well this has been extremely frustrating but I believe I've resolved my issue. I had this error popping up a billion times: Error message 0x80070652; i was ready to smash my laptop.
i went into startup manager and disabled "EVERYTHING" except for my graphics (nvidia) and dropbox, restarted the computer and when i ran the update it finally went through. what must have been happening, one of the things running in startup, either adobe updater, or Microsoft office uploader was preventing the 8.1 update from starting. hopefully this resolves your problems as well.

error.. HP Laptop consumer grade... Model 2000....
HP Issue or MS?

After downloading around upto 85% setup was started and installed for around 1 and the half hour when it was fully installed and I agreed the terms and conditions thenn after that it showed a problem and restored my old windows with the error code 0xc1900101-0x40019. I tried it two times with the same problem.....
