Here's a work-around that MSN may not leave available for long.  Just type in moneycentral.msn.com/stock_portfolio in your browser's address bar.  Takes you directly to the old site.  I guess it would be wise to print or write out all your data just in case the answer to the import issue is to enter everything in again, one by one.

The pop up screen does not accept instructions when "import now" is clicked. Screen is inactive in all respects.

    Craig,

Thanks SO MUCH for that tip.

It worked perfectly for me, except when I 'clicked' on a link in the news section of one of the stocks, it reverted to the 'new' Money page instead of the proper site.  I tried this on some other stocks and DID NOT have the same problem.

As far as I can see, your suggestion is great!

ADRIANA, PLEASE DO NOT LET MICROSOFT REMOVE THIS "SOLUTION" TO A VERY REAL PROBLEM.

This just might be the parallel universe scenario that will allow the traditional users of Portfolio Manager to co-exist with the techies that Microsoft seems to so desperately to be seeking.

Please allow this work-around to continue for good...    Microsoft had a good thing.  <Removed>

    Thanks, again, Craig.

Still no luck.  Can someone tell me where the Portfolio Manager is?

    Nothing seems to work.

    Tom,

I agree with all you have said.  From the other people, it appears that more than 50 stocks (I have 66) cannot be included in the same portfolio.

I had 4 portfolios listed for migration and, foolishly, selected the 1st one, even though they were not labeled in any way.  The one I selected appeared to be empty and the other 3 have vanished.

As I mentioned in the thread "Please bring back the old Portfolio Manager", I am also a shareholder and am VERY concerned that people will abandon Microsoft products because of foolish attempts to improve a product that is working wonderfully.  (People who don't like Portfolio Manager use other sites.)

At least they are saving the Corporation's money by not having people on phone or on online "chat" to answer questions and give solutions (other than referring to a link).  We can just help each other and hope that the money Microsoft saves will get to us in the form of and increased dividend!  (Please note:  I want good service and a good, usable product...  MUCH more than increased share prices!)

It's change for the sake of change and that's the one thing that won't change.
