I have been using Microsoft Picture It! Premium 10 (mpi10) with Windows XP for quite some time until just recently when I bought a new computer with Windows 8.1. However, when I tried to install mpi10 on my new computer, I realized the two weren't compatible.
I really like mpi10, & I work with pictures quite often. Question is... is there a way to make it compatible, or is there another photo editing software that it compares with, that is compatible with Windows 8.1, & that I can download from your site?

Yes, as per the compatibility status on Windows Compatibility center is concerned, Microsoft Picture It is not compatible with Windows 8.1. Refer to the link to get the details:
However, in Windows 8.1 Operating System, you can use Windows Live Photo Gallery in place of Microsoft Picture It:

That is beyond me. All I can say is learn French. I am sorry, I wish I could help. If it were Japanese I could help, but the only French I know is not repeatable in polite circles. I wish you luck. It seems to me that you should find a 'translator' app on the disc or in the program which should allow you to 'choose' the language you prefer.
Try right clicking on the program or app if it came with 'Works', then click properties, there should be 'options' to choose from. I only have Pictureit! 2002, 2003. But I can look at what I do have and hopefully that might shed some light on it. The computer I have it on is running XP..so I've had to go with just that.
This doesn't help. I love that program too and I don't know why you stopped making it! BIG mistake! You need to start making it again because there is no program out there today as good as Picture it!

- it was free. I am willing to pay for the program that works with Windows 10.
What do you suppose the reason was that the program was discontinued? Could it be that it wasn't profitable? In other words, there weren't enough people buying it to justify the expense? How could this be if "...there is no program out there today as good as Picture it!"? There must be other programs that are better.
