Microsoft Picture It! Premium 10

I have been using Microsoft Picture It! Premium 10 (mpi10) with Windows XP for quite some time until just recently when I bought a new computer with Windows 8.1.  However, when I tried to install mpi10 on my new computer, I realized the two weren't compatible.

I really like mpi10, & I work with pictures quite often.  Question is... is there a way to make it compatible, or is there another photo editing software that it compares with, that is compatible with Windows 8.1, & that I can download from your site?

Hi,

Yes, as per the compatibility status on Windows Compatibility center is concerned, Microsoft Picture It is not compatible with Windows 8.1. Refer to the link to get the details:

    Barb's suggestion was paint.net, not Get Wet Paint.

    Beware of downloading from "Get Wet paint".  I received Malware from the site and now have to reinstall my whole system, because I cannot get desktop temperature monitor off my pc.  Thanks  Barb

    Yes, I totally agree.  Photo Gallery does not begin to do everything Picture It did.  I've looked for a comparable tool, but have not been able to find it.  I also feel cheated by Microsoft!

    Have you tried installing it using the compatibility option?
