Microsoft Picture It! Premium 10

I have been using Microsoft Picture It! Premium 10 (mpi10) with Windows XP for quite some time until just recently when I bought a new computer with Windows 8.1.  However, when I tried to install mpi10 on my new computer, I realized the two weren't compatible.

I really like mpi10, & I work with pictures quite often.  Question is... is there a way to make it compatible, or is there another photo editing software that it compares with, that is compatible with Windows 8.1, & that I can download from your site?

Yes, as per the compatibility status on Windows Compatibility center is concerned, Microsoft Picture It is not compatible with Windows 8.1. Refer to the link to get the details:

    Thank you for your interest and response. The French language PictureIt software that I currently have is somewhat difficult to use, but I manage to use it for my pictures. Thank you

    I got my first Pictureit!  at Walmart too..then  I was able get the Pictureit! with Works2002 and then Works 2003. I agree though, Microsoft really needs to include that as not just a application in the  Works program, but maybe also as a 'stand-alone' that will work with Windows 10 as well.

    I think that there were problems when they tried to bring it back in later Works but it wouldn't work with the higher levels of Windows.

    I love that program too and I don't know why you stopped making it! BIG mistake! You need to start making it again because there is no program out there today as good as Picture it!   It needs to be upgraded to Windows 10.  I got my original copy at Walmart

    • it was free.  I am willing to pay for the program that works with Windows 10.

    What do you suppose the reason was that the program was discontinued?  Could it be that it wasn't profitable?  In other words, there weren't enough people buying it to justify the expense?  How could this be if "...there is no program out there today as good as Picture it!"?  There must be other programs that are better.
